Next Generation Disaster Recovery and IT Operations: Rapid, Flexible, Just-in-Time Continuous Operations Service Delivery
Virtual Disaster Recovery and Enterprise-Class Continuous Availability
Xtium CO IaaS ensures rapid recovery in the event of a scheduled outage or a disaster by safe-storing your production systems and servers within Xtium's secure, seismically-neutral Tier 1 datacenters.
How it works
Eliminating hardware investment and compatibility issues for the recovery, Xtium CO IaaS maintains a digital image of your IT systems, including OS, applications and mission-critical information. Testable at will, the safe-stored digital image of your IT systems is continuously refreshed via your private network connection with patches, upgrades and updates. In the event of a scheduled outage or a disaster, your IT systems are rapidly turned-on at the Xtium CO datacenter(s) and your IT users and customers can be re-routed to continue work as usual – with little downtime, if any.

To provide most flexibility, Xtium can manually capture the digital image of your IT systems and keep it near-on-demand within Xtium CO virtual recovery environment. At the time of need, the virtual environment is activated prior to recovery.
Recovery Point: last Image Update
Recovery Time: up to 4 hours
Note: Time estimates vary with digital image size
Xtium's proactive, virtualized recovery environment offers all the advantages of already configured and staged environment identical to your existing IT systems – saving you a significant time and steps during the critical recovery process. Moreover, using Xtium CO IaaS recovery facilities may be effectively used for routine IT maintenance, with little, if any downtime. That is, you and your IT systems users and customers can use your IT systems operated out of Xtium's CO IaaS, while your primary site is down for maintenance.

Xtium Data Center (XDC) Profile
Our Network Operation Center (NOC) provides 24 x 365 monitoring of networks, servers and applications. Our real-time firewall and intrusion detection monitoring provides for maximum availability and data protection and security. Xtium-affiliated data centers are located in secure locations outside major metropolitan areas, yet close enough for easy access from the financial markets and major business operating centers.
Xtium's high-speed fiber optic networks provide seamless connectivity between facilities and cost-effective connectivity in major US cities and around the world. We can dynamically scale bandwidth from 2-1,000 Mbps within minutes of your request and via 100% up-time Gigabit Ethernet connections.
The secure data centers are equipped with state-of-the-art surveillance and access control systems including iris scanning and mantraps. The facilities offer climate control systems, fire protection systems as well as redundant UPS power and on-site power generation. The facilities are staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. For clients who demand the highest levels of fault tolerance and redundancy, Xtium can provide intra-facilities fail-over over its internal network.
