Backups are stored on premise in on Xtium’s propriety SmartFrame backup appliance and also replicated to the selected Xtium datacenter.
The backed up data and protected systems are assigned resources from Xtium’s secure managed hosting cloud. When a customer either initiates a DR test, declares a disaster, or wants to failover a subset of the systems that are being protected, those systems are recovered into a client-specific unique, secure, and logically separated environment.
Customers have the option to continue running the recovered systems as hosted systems, or to recover those systems back into their on-premise infrastructure. Xtium team provides end-to-end administration of the service and ensures adherence to the contracted SLAs for RTO and RPO.
